The Best Website for Teenagers
I am confident I have heard my English teacher saying: to understand anything thoroughly, you must first learn the history of it. The history mindful prattles, the best website for teenagers, and its name Mindful Prattles? Oh, it sure has a lot.
Mindful prattles.
Sounds like a two-word combination just created because it is fitting to the ear and quite sounds like the name of a mind-boggling (like blogging lol (cough) (cough) umm…excuse me) blog site.
However, as oxymoronic as it is, you have got to compliment me for ‘brainstorming’ that name out for this website which dives into the life of a teenager. In the Oxford dictionary, the meaning of the word ‘brainstorming’ comes down to ‘group discussion to produce ideas or solve problems’. And yes. Every word of that definition is complementary to what I have done.
Let’s break it down. ‘group’ signifies my dad and I. ‘discussion’ explains the number of times we disputed and turned down each other’s ideas only to end up choosing the name I selected (believe me, I am pompous but mostly modest). ‘produce ideas’ elucidates the name for the blog that we were bickering about. ‘solving problems’ defines to striving to efface the many problems that you and I both face in our very own excruciatingly painful but magically blissful teenagers life.
Well, now that we have truly deciphered how I have brainstormed this beautiful name, let’s turn in to read why I did it, which is, with no needed explanations, the more important part of it, of course.
To do that, we need to first turn this into a vocabulary session. For those of you who don’t know, mindful means being conscious of something. Contrastingly, to prattle is to talk at length in a foolish or inconsequential way (credit: Oxford Dictionary, again). These two words surely repel each other just like the poles of the magnet, but they also convey the crucial meaning of teenhood.
The period of time when we try to find our identity in the blinding darkness of the world, are easily influenced by what surrounds us, bear the consequences of our hormones, navigate through the much-affecting realm of social dynamics, drown in the ever-increasing pile of homework, assignments and extra-curricular, and take uncountable rides of the rollercoaster of emotions. Phew! That’s quite a lot to list from the life of a teenager.
In the midst of all this, we are trying to find our true selves, which we know lies within us, but is buried deep down those fake personalities. Who are we, truly?
I am a good person. But I also have a bad side.
I love sports. But I also have a lethargic side.
I love studying. But there are times when I hate touching those books.
I am a writer. But there are situations when words don’t come to mind.
I am an extrovert who loves socializing. But there are days when I crave solitude and just want to be alone with my thoughts.
I am an avid reader. But I have phases where I avoid books altogether and binge-watch tv shows for hours.
I am a person who takes pride in an organized lifestyle. But my desk is sometimes a chaotic mess, reflecting my occasional lack of discipline.
And just like that,
I am a blogger. And I have a voice, and so much that I want to convey to the world.
Therefore, mindful and prattles. Together, let’s clear the road of teenhood by having those carefree conversations but also, walking through that road with vigilance to make the most of our teenage life and reach the destination that waits for us.
A ticking time bomb, that’s what this journey is.
The time is ticking, and the bomb is about to blast.
So hold your horses, because mindful prattles surely has a lot in store for you. Let me make life easy for you (which surprisingly, is the exact reason as to why I started this website which is now one of the top teenager websites).
This is what mindful prattles will be offering: aesthetics of life of a teenager aiming to motivate you, positivity posts (much needed if you are having a bad hair day), creative writings (for all those readers and writers out there), personal reflections (to share even the smallest experiences that have taught me something- see if you can relate to them), books and movie reviews (I binge read and watch), friendships (I’m currently watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S, btw), social media (the common lie: I’m not addicted!!), school life (is it really worth it?), and interviews (of celebrities? No. Maybe.)
There is so much awaiting. So much to be excited about. So much to cherish. So much to talk about life of a teenager.
P.S. I am already jumping on the bed out of euphoria! Yayyyyy.
